About Bear Canyon Press, LLC.

Thank you for visiting the Bear Canyon Press web site. Bear Canyon Press is owned and operated by Author Andrew S. Hogan. The mission Andy has set for Bear Canyon Press is: To lift souls and brighten smiles by producing and publishing quality products, and by offering free public and private speaking engagements both in person and through recorded media.

Andy is privileged to have shared his writing in books, magazines, newsletters, newspapers, radio, and various internet sites throughout the U.S. and also in countries abroad. People Andy has never met before often request his work for quiet, special moments in their lives, such as retirement bulletins and family websites. Once, Andy was even honored to have a stranger, who found Andy on the internet, request to use Andy's writing in the eulogy of a beloved grandfather.

Much of Andy's writing centers on the experiences of and lessons learned from his chronic, type I Bipolar Disorder. His books tell his incredible story and his blogs meaningfully share how he is now living a productive and happy life despite a constant, daily cycle between depression and mania.

In addition to his writing, Andy also loves to share his story and lessons learned via public speaking. Andy has been the featured speaker at Weber State University, the LDS Business College, the Salt Lake City Community College, various mental health organizations including NAMI (the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), public elementary and secondary schools, book clubs, and even around boy scout campfires. Andy does NOT charge for speaking engagements (though lemon bars or homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert are always welcome).

Andy speaks and writes fluent Mandarin (Chinese) and is very excited with his current projects involving translating and sharing his writing with China and Taiwan.

Andy welcomes your special requests for poetry, articles, or speaking engagements. (Emails, phone calls or letters faxed or sent to Bear Canyon Press using the contact information below all go directly to Andy.)

Sorry, Bear Canyon Press does not accept or publish freelance or other outside materials.
